ABOUT

Hello and welcome to The Pondering Pen! My name is Emily. I live just outside of a small town in Missouri, and I have one older brother and a soon-to-be sister-in-law (woohoo!). Two of my favorite colors are purple and red, and two words that I try to keep in my mind as much as possible are “compassion” and “honesty.” I am currently taking classes at State Fair Community College where I am pursuing a degree in communications and a degree in general education. Recently, I found myself looking for two things: 1. a new hobby and 2. something to help me succeed in my writing class. To meet both of these goals, I decided to try out different types of journaling and record my findings here. By doing this, I hope I can find a fun and useful way to spend my free time and also help other beginners like me who may be thinking about starting a journal, but want to learn a little bit more about it.
