Graphic Design
I have done mockups of book sleeves, movie posters, magazine pages, and other items. I also have experience creating designs for print and digital purposes such as flyers and social media posts. I have used Adobe platforms such as Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator to create and edit designs.
Book Sleeve
This is a book sleeve I created in fall 2022 in Adobe InDesign. My assignment was to find a unique book to create a book sleeve for with a focus on typeface. Part of the book I designed for tells of the subject and her family being forced to leave their home on a train, so I included a picture of train tracks on the cover; I also designed the text to look like steel, which portrays parts of the train mentioned in the book as well as the harsh, cold reality of the situation the subjects in the book find themselves in.
Poster Mock-Up
I made this in Spring 2022. My project was to design a movie poster based around the word "hearts." I chose images, colors, words and typeface to convey the romance theme I chose for this poster. I used Photoshop to complete this poster.
Event Menu
I made this menu for an event in Fall 2023 for informational convenience of the event's guests. This was one of several signs I made of a similar theme that were displayed as guests walked in and at individual buffet stations. I also made digital and print signs to use to advertise the event.
Magazine Page

I created this magazine page in Adobe InDesign in Fall 2022. The goal was to practice using visual elements to convey a message. The use of black or white was restricted unless necessary for my message. As my design was based around pandas, I used black and white sparingly, but largely used green and an image of bamboo to portray their natural habitat. I used text from "Bamboo - The Giant Diet of the Giant Panda" and "Habitat of the Panda."

I created this design for a social media post in fall 2023. My goal was to create something with moving elements that was fun and engaging for our audience (local adults over 21). I used the typeface to portray the bubbles and foam in the drink. This design was created using Canva.
Birthday Deals Poster
I created this design for print use in fall 2023. The goal was to inform our audience (local college students) of on-campus retail deals for the Elliot Student Union birthday at UCM. I enlarged the 61 cent sign to point people’s attention to the price, and used colors that matched some of the logos included in the design.
Veteran's Day Post
I made this social media design for Veterans Day 2023. My goal for this design was to create a sign that could be used to pay tribute to multiple veterans in an Instagram reel or carousel.
