Photography
I have photographed several different subjects, including food, landscapes, animals, people and objects. Cameras I have experience with for photography include the Canon EOS Rebel T7 and, currently, the Canon EOS R7. I have also used smartphones for photography. I have used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom to edit photos.
Candy Series
This is a photo series I completed in Fall 2022. I wanted to capture unique perspectives of the elements, so I used techniques like breaking them, mixing them with each other, and creating patterns with them. I was still a student at SFCC when I took these photos, and two of the pictures (the first one and the lemons and oranges pattern) were displayed at SFCC’s student art show in spring 2023.

I took this photo in 2022. My goal for this image was to show a representation of soft light. I took an up-close shot and used shallow depth of field to make the main focus stand out from the background.

The goal for this photo was to practice using ISO to help with color lightness with minimum loss of photo clarity. I placed the candle in a dimly lit room and took a close-up shot to place better focus on the candle flame. I also used a wide aperture to assist with lighting

I took this photo in fall 2022. I wanted to practice using the camera's exposure setting to manipulate the shadows and highlights of an image as well as to provide a representation of shallow depth of field.

I took this photo in fall 2023. I shot this on a cloudy day, which helped to make the light more neutral to portray the moods typically associated with the fall season. The colors on the leaf in focus further convey this mood and also help the leaf stand out from the background.

My goal for this photo was to photograph an element representing radial symmetry. The symmetry in this photo, represented by the circular shape of the sunflower, is interrupted by the imperfections in the petals and the worm in the center.

This photo was taken in Fall 2022. The goal for this picture was to practice using exposure to manipulate the shadows and highlights of the photo.

I took this in fall 2022. For this photo, I was practicing close-up shots. The position of the cat in this picture helps to convey the mood for the photo, and her eyes gazing into the camera helps to capture the attention of the viewer.

The goal for this photo was to present a representation of hard light. I positioned the pond within the bottom two thirds of the frame to put the focus on the pond and the reflections of the trees rather than the trees themselves, and used greenery as framing.
